Born in Austria, I became a wheelchair user at the age of 21. Since 2015 I spend most of the year in Tenerife, where I especially enjoy the constant warm weather, the sea and the friendly people of this amazing island. I enjoy water sports, tennis and recently started to try a bit of hand cycling.

I am Joseta Ximenez, born in Tenerife, I live in El Medano since I was 20 years old and I have always been in love with this town. When I was 25 years old, my left leg was amputated and since then, the sea has been a great help to me, I swim every morning and it is my passion. I am very happy to belong to IODA, where we are eager to create activities and situations for the integration of people like me. And last but not least, I love to communicate with people, that is to say that I talk a lot.

Soy de República Checa, he estado viviendo en Tenerife por períodos más cortos durante los últimos 15 años hasta que finalmente me instalé aquí cuando nació mi hijo. As for hobbies I like scuba diving, kitesurfing, hiking and piano. I started thinking more about accessibility and inclusion when I met a friend who used a wheelchair. Now I am happy to be involved in such a positive and inclusive project.

I was born in Switzerland and live in Zurich. In 2009 I had an accident with my paraglider and broke several vertebrae in my neck. Unfortunately, I am in a lot of pain because of the injury. That is why, for the last few years, I have been spending the winter in Tenerife. I have found a second home. I love exploring the island with my electric wheelchair. The climate is ideal for my pain and I have made new friends on the island. Even if limited, many things are still possible.
